I, Robot

August 19, 2009

I, Robot was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was action packed, had a great plot, and was psychological. It was like an elongated Twilight Zone episode without the theme song. It had a great twist at the end, just when you thought you had it all figured out. It was vaguely creepy and made you think about what Robots could do if we ever made them that way. Like Eagle Eye, it makes me scared to think that one day my computer might be able to think for itself and will be able to kill me. Call me crazy, but with all these movies coming out about stuff like this, it may not just be paranoia. I, Robot was about a cop who thinks that Robots are nothing but trouble, and when one Doctor dies of mysterious circumstances, he investigates the case which brings action and trouble. Five stars!

Slumdog Millionaire

August 5, 2009

Slumdog Millionaire gets five stars in my book! It was awsome and touching. The plot about his life was great, and the filiming and dialouge made it even better! A total must see!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

July 22, 2009
I saw the movie yesterday, but I didn't really like it. It was even more unlike the book than the fifth one was. If you haven't read the book, I guess it would be okay, but I read it and I was somewhat dissapointed. I would give it a 3 out of 5, but if you have nothing to do, I guess it's worth a watch.

David Copperfield

May 24, 2009
Even though this book is written by one of the most famous authors, it doesn't make it more desirable. Charles Dickens wrote a 800 and something page book about an orphan. It takes 200-300 pages to even get to the part where he starts to work in the work house. If you have a whole bunch of time, and a whole bunch of boredom, I would recomend it. It's not necessarily boring, just tedious. It goes into detail after detail after detail. Even I didn't finish it. I would read Oliver Twist instead,...

Liar Liar

May 24, 2009
Maybe you've seen this one, maybe you haven't. I just saw it yesterday, and I thought it was pretty funny.
Jim Carrey stars as a man whose main purpose in life seems to be lying, even though (and maybe because) he's a lawyer. When his son wishes that he couldn't lie for a whole day, his life falls apart. Well, his case falls apart anyway. A little. If you like to laugh, and if you like people who make funny faces and sounds, this is the movie for you! Have fun watching it!

To Kill A Mockingbird

March 19, 2009

Just because it's a classic doesn't mean it's boring. I thought it was pretty good, but it's kind of one of those books you have to read again to get. Still, it's good if you like reading about how things where back in the South during the 1930s. It's got dialect and a very, very good plot about a lawyer whose trying to defend a black man during a time period that thinks black people should only be farm workers and servavants. That isn't all the book is about, it's got some other sub-plots th...

Valkyrie

March 9, 2009

Ok, I'll admit, this movie is kind of sad at the end, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't see it. The plot is good, the acting is good, and the dialouge is good too. It's pretty much an all around good movie, but you really should be at least 12 or something before you see it. If you don't know the plot already, that's pretty sad. I'll tell you anyway. It's about this colonel who teams up with some other high-ups to plan how to kill Hitler. They come up with a pretty good one, and then it's t...

Edward Scissor Hands

February 28, 2009
This is my first movie post, and its a good one. It might be old, but aren't the oldies usually the best ones? It made me cry, so that should say something. The name kind of says what its about, it has Johnny Depp in it, and it was created by Tim Burton so you know its going to be semi-creepy. But its a good watch if you like people with scissors instead of hands who come to live in suburbia and has these mishaps. I liked it, and I hope you will too! Just one question before you go- why didn'...

A Great and Terrible Beauty

February 25, 2009

There really is no way to describe how good the book is... Personally, I thought it was so good and read it so fast that I can't hardly remember the plot! Actually, I do, but the 400 page book went down fast!  If you like the Twilight Zone, or what I call Summerland, the place between dead or alive, then you would like this book. It starts into the action right away, and leaves you with a desire for more and more and more until before you know it- you've finished it. I really am going to tell...

The Princess Bride

February 18, 2009
Normally, the book is better than the movie, right? Well, this time they are both supurb because the author wrote the screenplay (although, my opinion is that the book is better than the movie, because it has more detail and more descriptions and intricate stuff like that) and the sequel he's trying to write will be (hopefully, but I have faith in him) just as good as the first! If you like action and romance, this is the book for you! You will fall in love with the characters and you get ver...
