Shakespearean Sonnet

Posted by Maggy Self on Monday, January 18, 2010 , In : Poems
I had to write a Sonnet in L.A. class, tell me what you think!

Nature’s seasons: winter, spring, summer and fall.

Can you stop them from cycling? Not at all.

The pretty flowers are dying too soon,

so to heaven I pray for a small boon.

Within this place, coldness encased:

the snow and the white keeps everything chaste.

The quiet and peace makes life such a dream,

with the snow all around, life is so clean.

But the flowers sprout, and spring comes around,

the snow is gone and hap...

Limbo ch 3

Posted by Maggy Self on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 , In : My Stories
I pasted ch 2 in with the first Limbo post, so this is chapter three. I hope you like it Nia!

I sit on the pillow for a while and lay back. I close my eyes and try to zone for a while. But soon enough I get bored and start wandering around. I sit on one of the chairs and gaze at the bookshelf. While I gaze, I think. Or theorize rather.

Why do I feel like this isn’t a dream? I ask myself.

Because, everything feels real. And plus- it all makes sense. My other half doesn’t like this.

Limbo

Posted by Maggy Self on Friday, June 19, 2009 , In : My Stories
Well, I mentioned that I was writing a story, so here is what I have so far:

“Are you coming Lya?”

I punch him lightly on the shoulder. He always does that. He knows it bugs me when he says ‘Li-ah’ instead of ‘Le-ah’.

“Duh! You know I wouldn’t miss whupping you for the world!”

Jerry just laughs. He thinks that he can beat me. As if. I haven’t trained since I was five for nothing.

“See you then!”

“Jerk off.”

He pretends to act all offended, then walks off, ...

Sarah and the Woods/Sarah goes camping

Please comment on which title you like better! Constructive Criticism is always good!

Chapter One

Sarah smiled as she listened to the other girls’ laughter and chatter. She was excited too, only she chose to show it in a quieter way. She tried to focus on her book, but her mind kept straying. Amidst all the chatter, she heard,

“Excuse me, one side, coming through.”

Sarah looked up and smiled again.

“Hel-lo Jo.” Sarah said under her breath. The gi...

Lake Placid in Song

Posted by Maggy Self on Thursday, May 7, 2009 , In : My Stories
This is an observational writing we had to do for Language Arts, and I got an A++ on it, and my teacher wanted a copy. I guess it must be good, and sharing good things is always fun. Hope you like!

Lake Placid in Song

I never realized all the fun I would have that summer at Grandaddy and Grammy's house. Usually, I’m bored to tears. But not that time…

I always whine to get more time with my Grandma, but the answer is always the same; 1 week at Grandma’s house, ...

Sarah Pibbley Goes Camping

Posted by Maggy Self on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 , In : My Stories
Usually my Sarah Pibbley stories have a theme that relates to a book she's read/reading. This one is no exception. I'm only on Chapter Two, so you might not see it for a while. Don't despair! This one looks like a really good one! You know, if you have even a tiny talent of writing, just do it. It's so much fun, and I love the way the words and the plot just pour from my pencil and spread out on the page. To me, it's like I'm being invaded by Sarah, or somebody else who knows the story and I'...

The Black Death

Posted by Maggy Self on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 , In : My Stories

I had to do a disease for science class, and this is what I chose. My mom said it was kind of nasty, so beware I guess. Enjoy as much as you can, and learn!

“Ring around the Rosies, Pockets full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down!” Delilah smiled as she skipped up the lane.

“Delilah! Delilah wait up!” Delilah turned and saw her friend Sophia running up to her.

                                                       “Y...

Mine, and Not Mine

Posted by Maggy Self on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 , In : My Stories
First up! I do realize that Hermione is not my character, and I give full credit to JK Rowling, just so thats out there.
Second up! Sarah Pibbley and cast of characters ARE mine and I copy right them. And your writing teacher will know, because all she'll have to do is type in "Sarah Pibbley" on Google and she pops up under somebody named phantom_erik13 on deviant art.com which is ME not YOU!
Third up! Keep Reading!

Freaky Friday

Posted by Maggy Self on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 , In : My Stories

Wow! I only have two chapters typed up! Well, that can change. Heres the first one:

April 24, 2oo8

                                                                                Chapter One

Sarah Pibbley sat reading on a stone bench in the courtyard of the Girls School. Her best friend Jo Wilson came up to her and sat down next to her. “Wat'cha readin' this time?” Jo asked. Jo was now an avid reader, but she just couldn’t keep up with the amount of books Sarah read. “I’m reading...

About Me

Sarah Pibbley Dark Brown wavy hair, big cow eyes, and a button nose. (The uncolored thing is Sir Rodrick the Rat) Loving heart, and a sympathetic nature makes Sarah almost like Snow White, but she isn't a push-over, just a peace-nik.
